Florentino Pérez orders two urgent signings to boost Real Madrid squad
The Real Madrid project is in the construction phase. With the contracts of up to 7 players about to expire on June 30 and with an uncertain future, Florentino Pérez has already started working on signing several players who will have to come next season to replenish his squad.
With the level of veteran players such as Luka Modric, Karim Benzem and Dani Carvajal dropping significantly in recent weeks, the Real Madrid president is seeking to renew the blood of the team as soon as possible.
Specifically, the Whites’ boss wants two deals in two positions that urgently need strengthening: midfield and attack. There are already some names on the table who could fit into the club’s roadmap.
The first of them, and the most important of them, is Jude Bellingham, the young Borussia Dortmund captain who showed his quality during the recent World Cup in Qatar. The England midfielder decided to leave Germany this summer and Real Madrid is one of the teams who have shown great interest in him.
Now, Madrid is not the only big European club that wants to get the services of one of the best midfielders in the next decade.
Liverpool, an under-form team in the Premier League who are having serious problems when it comes to creating a competitive midfield, also has Bellingham on their wish list.
Both clubs would be willing to pay Dortmund more than €100m for their captain, and the final decision would depend solely and exclusively on Bellingham.
The second signing
With all this on the table, and it is not a little, Real Madrid has already activated a second process this summer: signing a striker who can replace Benzema, with guarantees, since Mariano Diaz was not a real substitute in attack.
Ancelotti has asked the technical secretariat to sign a goal-scoring No. 9 striker who can fill in as a striker when the French striker is not available.
It would be a very similar deal to Adebayor or Chicharito. Where Real Madrid is waiting for the summer of 2024 to try to sign the biggest goal, Haaland.
